Warby Parker took the initiative to bring buying eyeglasses to the next level. They brought the eyeglasses to the people using social media rather than making the people go to the stores and getting the eyeglasses. Warby Parker has also made eyeglasses more affordable for many people since in todays day eyeglasses can range from a couple hundred dollars to a few thousand. What once started as an idea to make eyeglasses easier to get and more affordable soon became a case of change. It is very difficult to change the behavior people use to do anything especially shop for eyeglasses. Most people have always thought those are items you have to be at the store for and for the longest time that was the only option available. Warby has taken that thought and thrown it out the window so to speak. They have come up with campaigns to allow people to feel confident in purchasing eyeglasses online and not feeling trapped or that to find the right pair will take too long as you would have to do one pair at a time. Warby has taken those notions and built a company that overcomes those fears and objections. Though Warby Parker was not the first online eyeglass retailer there campaigns and dedication to utilizing social media made them the pioneer for the online eyeglass industry.

Warby Parker uses their social media sites to connect with their customers and to have their customers connect with them. They have found a way to allow customers to feel comfortable and confident in purchasing eyeglasses online. Their representatives are constantly checking their social media sites to answer questions and reach out to their customers. This has brought a bonding between the customer and Warby that is hard to do even in face to face stores. This has allowed even the skeptical to take the chance with Warby and has allowed them to win over many customers to this new and innovative way to purchase eyeglasses.

Warby Parker set out to help people purchase eyeglasses that were more affordable and easier to get to for those that were far away or didn’t have a lot of time to go into a store. They have surpassed that by providing a free pair of eyeglasses for every eye glass purchased to those in need. At this point they have been able to donate over 500,000 pairs of eyeglasses while working with their partnership VisionSpring . This has helped people change their purchasing habits to help people in need. Today people are more conscientious about the companies they buy from and what those companies stand for. Knowing this Warby Parker has set out to do good things, to make a difference for people and allow them the ability to see clearly.
